Rob's Chilli Secret!

Ok, so I love my chilli me. Eating it and cooking it as you'll see it more or less cooks itself. I'll list the ingredients here first and then I'll divulge the method... you know, just like a recipe!

To feed 4 people you'll need

500 gms Lean Minced Steak or
500 gms Lean Steak pieces,
2 Medium Onions, roughly chopped,
1 red pepper, roughly chopped,
1 whole bulb Garlic, peeled and sliced,
1 whole Red Chilli, sliced with seeds in,
1 Can chopped Tomatoes,
1 Can Kidney Beans
Olive oil

Obviously you can mess around with the amounts of Garlic and Chilli above to taste, it's up to yourself but if you follow mine you'll get a medium to hot chilli, great for clearing the head during 'flu season!

OK, so get a large saucepan or pot and add 2 Tbs of Olive oil to the roughly chopped onions, garlic and Chilli and sweat over a medium heat under the onions start to change colour, immediately add the Beef and stir. At this stage I would normally chuck a beef stock cube in along with about 1/2 a cup of water but it's up to yourself. Cover and leave it for a minute until the Beef starts to brown, stir again and add the Tomatoes and kidney beans. Turn the whole mess all the way down to the lowest heat and leave for as long as possible. An hour at least. Serve with rice or spicy potato wedges and enjoy!
